The eTrax | rescue App is the official client of the eTrax | rescue project, the aim of which is to simplify the administration of searches for people for aid organizations, as well as to enable the central coordination of search teams from the operational management. Range of functions & # 8226; Registration / feedback on an assignment & # 8226; Status reports: the app can be used to report the current status to the operations management team (in arrival, at the scene, ...)& # 8226; Live location tracking: the app accesses the device location for certain status reports (determined by the organization) and makes this available to the operations management.& # 8226; Setting points of interest (POIs): the app allows you to take a photo with the mobile phone camera and send it to the operations control team with the associated location and a short description.& # 8226; QuickActions: Certain status messages are made available in a quick access button so that they can be reported back with just a few interactions. Data protection notice In order to fulfill these central functions, the app accesses the device location for status messages specified by the organization - even if the app is not open - and sends them to the specified eTrax | via an encrypted connection rescue server. The location data generated in this way are stored on the eTrax | rescue Server uses the current position of members of a search team, as well as their location history during a mission for the operations management in the web interface of eTrax | rescue. The server application ensures that only users who belong to an organization involved in the operation or administrators can access the location data.
